The So, Good morning.

God morning to you.

There is a fragrance here. I don't quite recognize a perfume that's not my own. I woke up to it this morning before these eyes even opened and it's still here.

Lingering. Sweetly, it smells of roses. That is my experience. What is lingering sweetly there?

A silence is lingering. When did it start?

Try to find the beginning of it.

Or better yet try to find the end of it, even though my voice has sounding,

the silence has not ended.

Even when thoughts are present there, a silence isn't ended.

Rumi says your words are guesswork. He speaks from experience. There's a huge difference, which

is worth more a crowd of thousands or your own genuine solitude.

A little while alone in your room will prove more valuable

than anything else that could ever be given you.

Whoever drinks your love takes in new life and a new again.

Death used to follow me everywhere. Threatening.

And it caught your fragrance and left.

Pleasures end unless they fill with love every rhythm must have love in it or it does not flow.

Rain pours down over the ocean, pearls form from one love drop.

Things happen from the state of being, from the way you're being right now, from the silence you're hearing right now,

the silence that doesn't change.

Changes everything.
