It's Louise God Vargas. Is it sunny out Louis? Is it summer? Yeah, it's it's really nice and I took full advantage of the opportunity the jewel dog was the real winner because she went on you know two walks today. Oh wow couldn't get enough of the sunlight. It's it's just been really cold here recently. So when there's like a break in that I just outside as much as I can which not as much as I would like given that you know we've got. Podcast record for you. So yeah, we've got a podcast to record. We're going to be going over.

0:58.0

We've got some of the archetypes in Neo. Why am I calling it? Oh, I guess it's because that's the what's it called in in Kamagawa neon dynasty. We're going to cover three of three of the archetypes that we've drafted the most and and feel that we have the most to say about. We're also going to be recapping the arena open and then talking about some individual cards that have stood out to us and some stuff from 17 lands that was like oh look at this card. And we'll kind of try to get to the bottom of that.

1:28.0

As well. So lots of stuff to talk about on the podcast this week. Before we do this talk about our sponsors channel fireball.com. Make sure you check them out for all things magic related. If you want singles you can hit the channel fireball market place up. If you need sealed product. Same thing. If you want to get supplies or even premium content over at CFB pro you can find it all at channel fireball.com. There's always some new exciting stuff happening at CFB. You know they're always pushing right. That's one of the things about CFB is if you were to

1:58.0

take a snapshot of it way back like even just going back to when they started sponsoring this podcast and what they look like now totally different company right they've added in a whole bunch of new stuff change things around always moving and shaking over at CFB. So that's where you should go for anything you need magic related. If you do end up picking something up if you use the affiliate code LR when you check out it helps out the show. Let's know that we're the ones that sent you over and we do appreciate it shows also brought to you by FTX. That's place to go to

2:28.0

manage all of your digital assets as we move forward into the future you know digital assets seems like they're going to be part of our everyday lives at some point in one form or another I think that that's still very much up in the air how how they interact with us and how we interact with them exactly but we're taking the first steps in that direction now and if you want to kind of feel out what that's like how it works and everything FTX is the safe regulated place that you can go to do so it's FTX.US inside the US and FTX.com

2:58.0

outside of it we thank them for their sponsorship also want to remind you that that is a form of investing and if you do any investing not just there but anywhere make sure that you consult professional investor before you put your hard earned dollars in because there is risk and you need to understand the risks of what you're doing before you do it and that's just good advice no matter what we've got one last thing to mention here of course is a patreon patreon.com slash limited resources anybody that signs up there gets access to the patreon feed.

3:28.0

where we ask questions like for Q&A episodes which are some of our favorite ones to do the patreon question of the week which we're going to get to in a minute here and you also get a thank you card in an LR sticker in the mail no matter what level you sign up at we just really wanted to make sure to to really reach out and say thank you to anybody who takes the time to to support us on patreon we know it's totally voluntary right this is you know these are the this is a type of kind of a weird business model where it's like you can ask people but they can come and go as they please and it's like yeah you can and

3:58.0

you know thankfully there's enough people out there that that like this particular content is supported if you're one of them patreon.com slash limited resources is where you want to go now the patron question of the week hard hitter here Luis are you ready for this John wants to know who are your personal heroes

4:16.4

well I got a couple one is that my parents I think that my parents did a really fantastic job in yeah I mean that we've got two brothers and I think we're all pretty pretty well adjusted you know definitely I think all but one of you are really kind people yeah very well adjusted and easy to get along with

4:40.2

uh yeah and you know you learned a lot of lessons from your parents all one of the big ones that really stuck with me is uh my dad was a chemist and he left uh

4:49.2

a fairly high-paying job to be a kindergarten teacher because he just that's what he wanted to do that's what he he thought was you know a better way to kind of

4:58.8

interact with the world and and he would enjoy it more and it would be better for his community and stuff and and that that kind of stuck with me so

5:06.0

definitely uh was something that did I I paid attention to and I've had a lot of really lucky opportunities but generally I

5:13.0

follow with what I want to do and what I think is a good thing to do um and then I actually want to mention

5:19.2

one of the guys who kind of taught me how to play magic Bruce Bruce is a a bit older he you know he was like an adult

5:26.2

when we start first started playing we were like 13 14 he ran our first D&D game uh and he would run our

5:33.7

D&D games even throughout college and at this point you know he has like he has some kids he's you know uh

5:39.3

like his his oldest daughter's 18 or whatever and or 19 and uh Bruce was always like

5:47.6

how I pictured an adult as a gamer where he he loved D&D he loved magic he loved games

5:54.6

but he also like was you know his IT director he you know has a good relationship he had kids like he

6:01.5
