At $12 a beer, I can see why that guy might have been a little bit crazy.

The very first trip that I took to live abroad as an expat

was when I moved to Switzerland. And that trip had a bit of an inauspicious start.

You see when I got off the train to then walk the mile to the house where I was going to

live for the next four months. My rolling bag luggage, I had

two 50 pound suitcases. One of the wheels broke right off of my luggage. It was a brand new suitcase.

I had went out to like

TJ Max or Marshals right before that. Got in this big heart shell suitcase. The

wheel fell right off the moment I got off the train and I was stuck dragging

what was about at that point 50 pounds of like just dead weight a mile

to the house I was going to live in for the next four months so not a great start for

me when it came to expat life and luggage.
