You know, before we introduce our guest Denise, I just wanted to tell our listeners that

you and I had gotten this lovely message from a man who listened to the show and he was

sharing how hard it was to be a man and to also be an empath and we kind of

talked about this and we set the intention to reach more men through the show

And what I find so fascinating is we've been teaching our mediumship class for years now

And we'll get like one guy who signs up, but this time after setting that intention we had three men sign up.

And then you met our guest. So I just think it speaks to the power of setting intentions.

Ian Johnson lives in Portland, Maine, and currently works as a building sustainability consultant.

In his work, he uses regenerative thinking to support the design of high performance buildings and landscapes.

He is passionate about Earth healing and also teaches and practices permaculture and Earth reconnection. Through meditations, and and the world around him. Currently he is writing a book about being a male

empath which will be out later this year. This book looks to provide support to

other male empaths who are struggling with embracing their empathy and finding their true self.

And as a mother of a male empath, as a daughter of a male empath, this book is so long overdue.

So one of the first things is I'm absolutely fascinated with your spiritual path because you're you know just if you see

Ian and you'll see a picture of him when I post it with the show he's just a regular guy and I don't mean

that I'm not being gender biased I'm not going down that road but

tell us a little bit about how you opened up to your spiritual path because I

think that's fascinating is all out. Sure so it you know it kind of started as you know growing up and kind of getting, you know, getting the feeling that I felt different.
