Summary

In the inaugural episode of the Good Faith Podcast, David French and his theological wingman Curtis Chang discuss some of the recent issues at Liberty University and how Christians should think about the concept of institutional sin. Curtis makes the theological case for how human institutions fit into the biblical narrative and that as such, they are both made in the image of God and also capable of sin and brokenness. They also discuss why it is important for Christians to place a high priority on being honest and open about institutional sin in our own ranks, amongst our own institutions.

And Curtis, why don't you introduce yourself to the folks and say a little bit more about yourself.

1:00.1

Well, David, I'm just thrilled to be doing this with you because this is really

1:03.9

part of my own personal passion as well, as well as my friendship with you that goes back

1:08.3

for so long. You know, my own sense of my own calling is to be someone called at the intersection

1:14.7

between the worlds of faith and the worlds of secular institutions. So, and I have a foot in both

worlds. In the faith world, I am a senior fellow at Fuller Theological Seminary,

about helping Christians understand how to think and live their lives as they engage with

the secular world. And that's really what this podcast is all about. So, I'm thrilled to get started

here. Well, I'm so, I'm so happy about this. We've been trying to put this together for a long time.
