away in a cave over the last three months, and they just came up for sunlight and air, and you

were standing there, and they said,

oh my God, they're 4 in 10 after last year?

How did that happen?

Go ahead and take your time, but what would you say?

How would you describe the 4 and 10?

I mean, the easiest way to describe it is injuries.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong for them.

All the concerns pre-draft about Jane Daniels's durability kind of came true this year with him having trouble staying on the field.

All the concerns about Terry McCororan missing training camp and maybe potential injuries for a wide receiver on the wrong side of 30.

Those came true. He had trouble staying on the field. Same with Noah Brown, who's about to turn 30. And they just caught the bad injury bug every step of the way. You look at it now, and it's hard to remember. Oh, yeah, they lost Austin Echler for the season early on. They lost the defensive end, Dietrich Rize. They've lost

Marshawn Laddmore and Trey Amos and all those injuries have really piled up both in losing

that production on the field and then losing that time and practice as guys have really not been

on the same page a lot of the way. Yeah, I mean, I think that's, I think you nailed it.

Now, with respect to Jaden Daniels, a few questions.

Number one, what do you think he's being shut down for?

I think the biggest thing that they're shutting down for is it's just not worth the risk to them.

Obviously, they're not super concerned about this elbow injury,

although that's what Dan Coyne has been saying all week,

is that he's not medically cleared to play this week,
