My name is Adam Levittan.

I am one of the co-founders here at ETR and we're coming off of a should team defense

still be a part of fantasy kind of week.

Yes, that's right.

I can't tell you how many times I've been asked this question over the last couple years

and I get why people ask, you know, defensive scoring in fantasy is mostly random.

Our ability to predict special teams, touchdowns, pick sixes, scoops and scores, it's just not

possible.

That stuff is not skillful and that's true and to me that's the biggest argument against

defense.

But I'll say this, I do think that smart fantasy players can put themselves in a slightly

better spot than random at DST.

You know, like understanding DST selection isn't about points allowed at all.

It's about how many QB pressures can our defense generate?

That's what leads to sacs, scoops and scores, pick sixes, that the way that defensive score

points.

So getting a defense with a reasonable to good pass rush against in a mobile quarterback

who drops back a lot, yeah, I think there's an edge there in finding it.

A little bit of skill and in DFS, accepting the mostly red nature of DST and really looking

for low owned ones, that's a skill also.
