Usually I go through and I try to make answers seem more fluid and make the response time seem quicker and make someone sound as nice as it can be made for

them to sound given what happened.

That's a courtesy.

A lot of times these interviews are recorded with people and English is not their first language. It's something that you know levels the playing field a bit.

But frankly I didn't feel comfortable making myself feel smarter.

And so I decided not to edit my own interview at all.

I left it exactly untouched.

Hello Steve. So you're working as a song in New York City and you

started thinking of an idea to have a podcast. How's that come about? You know I was

doing some video work and I had this idea that it would be cool to interview other Sommeas, people I knew, people

I've gotten drunk with, people I'd spend a lot of time with, people, you know, many dinners,

many tastings, and I knew they were interesting people and I knew that they had

stories to tell like really interesting occurrences life stories knowledge

about wine but just interesting people also because sometimes people who kind of make it through
