0:35.0	I'm excited for the experience that you're going to have here at the university.
0:39.2	A few years ago, I invited several colleagues from various universities to come to
0:43.9	BYU for a multi-day workshop in Scandinavian studies, my specialty. The work was
0:48.8	going to be intense so we suggested to the participants to pack good shoes so that one evening we could take a break and go for a quick hike up our unparalleled Rock Canyon.
0:59.0	A professor who taught at a large public university on the West Coast,
1:03.3	took advantage of this downtime to ask me questions about BYU,
1:07.2	about the church, and even about my personal faith
1:09.8	and convictions.
1:11.4	She did so somewhat sheepishly and excused herself for asking questions
1:16.0	that for a native Scandinavian are deeply personal and rarely discussed except
1:20.9	with close friends or family in a sauna.
1:24.2	I assured her that I really didn't mind,
1:26.1	and in fact as a return missionary from Sweden,
1:28.2	I found it refreshing for a Scandinavian
1:30.2	to ask me questions about religion. She expressed how impressed she was with the
