It is so wonderful to be with you. Thank you for attending

this campus devotional as I look out in the audience here. I see family members and friends and colleagues as well as past students.

I'm so deeply thankful for each of you. Your examples of service and of faith and of kindness

and deepen my desire to to follow Jesus Christ because I can see reflections of Him in You.

Thank you for being here. I'm grateful for you. I love you and I pray that the spirit of the Lord will be with us today to bless us

with the inspiration and the comfort and the healing that we may individually need.

One of the greatest blessings I've received because of BYU

is finding my wonderful wife Kathy while an undergrad here.

She had just returned home from her mission from Switzerland

and had moved into our singles ward.

She was called as the choir director and I wasn't

interested in choir until I met her and then I was very interested in

joining the choir. I tried to give her the smolder during choir practice and that didn't work at all.

I was trying to get the courage up to ask her out and that for some reason was just unusually nervous about asking her out.

And around that time our Singles Ward Activities Committee had started a blind date box where
