Before I pray and ask for the Lord's help, just to empathize with you, I found Mark's message to be

devastating and don't have too much left. So that's not a joke. Let's pray.

In one sense, Lord, it feels good to be here.

That is, low, unsure of myself, not knowing my own heart.

That's my main... I feel off balance. I feel wobbly after that message. I think that's good. I feel

vulnerable like somebody could come at me from almost any angle right now and take me.

And so I call upon your spirit for us,

us open and laid bare elders.

Come, there's work to be done.'s work for us nobodies work for us broken people work for us wounded indicted discouraged guilty forgiven justified heavenbound invincible people.

So come, I pray, and help me with this message.

My aim in these messages that I'm going to give, Lord willing, is to lodge in your mind and in your heart

a biblical conviction that I hope will not go away while you live concerning missions,

frontier missions of the way Paul did missions in the New Testament.

And my conviction that I want you to share is that if you think being missional is a good thing for you to be or for your church to be then you should care about strategize about invest in plan for missions frontier missions pioneer missions pauline missions or

the short version of the conviction you are not biblically missional unless you pursue

missions. That would be one way of describing the thesis. So let me try to undo for just a minute

defensiveness in you that might rise up. It did in me, so I thought it might in you. I would like to free you

from that so you could dream with me, hopefully and positively, instead of sitting there thinking

of all the reasons why what I'm saying shouldn't keep you from doing what you're doing.
