So today, we're going to talk about preparing, surgery, an old saying,

and why some are getting even more nervous about the economy

because of the actions of one man.

When it comes to the economy, there are some people that stand out as individuals that everybody

else watches. Their actions are seen as signs. The Oracle of Omaha, Warren Buffett, is one of

those people. The 94-year-old is the chair of Berkshire Hathaway, and his recent moves are definitely

prompting discussion and concern. People are wondering if he sees something nobody else does.

When preparing for surgery, sometimes people engage in what's called an autologous donation.

It's where you donate your own cells or tissue or blood in case it's needed during the surgery.

What does this have to do with the economy or Warren Buffett?

For the contrarian investor, there's an old saying,

buy when there's blood in the streets,

even if the blood is your own, meaning that when huge losses are being taken by some,

it's time to buy. Buffett has said that you pay a very high price in the stock market for a cheery consensus,

meaning that if everybody thinks something is a good investment,

well, it probably won't have great returns.

Warren Buffett became Warren Buffett by seeking great returns.

So what's the concern?

Warren Buffett has slowly been selling stocks and positioning,

developing a $325 billion stockpile of cash or things that are readily converted to cash. That's a lot
