Well, howdy there, internet people it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump versus the Pope.

You would think this was some kind of joke, but it's a Trump presidency.

So the idea of the President of the United States, attacking the Pope on social media, isn't really out of the realm of possibility, right?

This is the world we live in.

Okay, so what happened?

Recently, Pope Leo XIV said something during his Easter message that has apparently gotten under

Trump's skin. The Pope said, quote, Let us allow our hearts to be transformed by his immense

love for us. Let those who have weapons lay them down. Let those who have the power to unleash

wars choose peace. Not a peace imposed by force,

but through dialogue. Not with the desire to dominate others, but to encounter them.

The Pope also recently said, quote, enough with the idolatry of self and money, enough with the display of force,

enough with war. True strength is manifested in serving life. Well, seems like Trump took

these messages personally. Not in the sense that they resonated with him,

but it seems like he felt attacked.

Because he posted a lengthy rant on social media

that starts off with, quote,

Pope Leo is weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy.

What?

Does he think the Pope is a politician?

Weak on crime.

Terrible for foreign policy.
