Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about the Trump tariffs not happening either.

Or at least that's the way it looks.

It's been a long week of reality crashing into campaign promises.

But this is objectively good news for anybody who understands basic economics.

It's good news for people who don't as well, really.

Reporting says that Trump's trade advisors are having conversations

about how to take Trump's promise of 10% universal tariffs and 60% tariffs on China

and create something even remotely similar that

doesn't reignite inflation and crash the economy. The reporting says they're looking at just

placing tariffs on critical industries. Look, I'm not in favor of tariffs in general, but being

strategic with tariffs or targeting

critical industries with them is a whole lot less likely to, you know, cause a depression.

I think we can universally agree that avoiding a depression is a good thing.

Now, before all the people come out to say, masterful gambit, sir, and act like this was his plan all

along, it should be noted that Trump is out there saying that no such rollback of his promises

is happening. He posted, quote, the story in the Washington Post, quoting so-called anonymous sources, which don't exist,

incorrectly states that my tariff policy will be paired back.

That is wrong.

The Washington Post was the first outlet to report on the move, but since then, other outlets

have indicated they were able to confirm the
