Trump based on a perceived economic policy, based on campaign promises, and then started

Those who voted for him believing his foreign policy campaign promises are starting to have questions

as his foreign policy team starts to take shape.

Contrary to the image he cultivated during the campaign, casting himself as an

international dove, his presumed and announced pigs are hawkish hardliners on most of the issues

that dominated the coverage. For those who believed he was going to try to take a non-confrontational track with China

and try to handle everything via trade, the current reporting regarding who the foreign policy

team is going to be suggests otherwise. Marco Rubio is reportedly the favorite for Secretary

of State.

He's so hardline that he's actually sanctioned by the Chinese government.

Elise Daphonic, who is the pick for ambassador to the UN,

is another person with strong hawkish credentials when it comes to China.

And then you have Mike Waltz, who has openly said that the U.S. is in a Cold War with China.

Assuming Trump actually listens to these advisors, expect the same Cold War games we've

covered on the channel to continue.

With possibly stronger rhetoric and maybe some more posturing, like having more ships in the Pacific. It's important to remember

that neither side actually wants a hot confrontation. That continues with these picks, though they might be slightly more willing to posture in a way that could lead to confrontation.

On to the Middle East. Many of those who voted for Trump wanted a total U.S. withdrawal and thought he could get the U.S. out of the Middle East.
