Well, howdy there, internet people it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about the U.S. versus China.

Trump made China a superpower edition.

Trump finished a high-stakes summit in China,

and while political partisans are already calling it a total victory

or a total disaster, the reality is that early signs indicate it wasn't either. Trump really wanted

to get China to clean up his mess in Iran and push Iran to make peace. The readouts seemed to indicate he was unable to move the needle.

China cared as much about his pressure as Trump said he cared about Americans' financial

situations, not even a little bit.

In fact, while Trump was there begging for China's help, Iran was doubling down on its

control of the strait.

But if you actually thought Trump was going to get Beijing to bend on that, you probably

still believe Trump obliterated Iran's nuclear program and that the U.S. has decisively won the war.

So, that part was a failure.

But it does look like Trump got a little movement on trade, but not much.

Honestly, it's Trump doing foreign policy.

As long as he knew what country he was in and didn't threaten

to invade an ally, at this point he gets to count it as a win. That's how far the U.S. has fallen.

But it's something that Trump did just before the plane ride over that scrambled headlines all over the world.

Trump promoted China to a superpower. I don't mean that in some deep foreign policy analysis sort of way.

I mean the president of the United States, publicly called them a superpower.
