Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump giving up on the first 100 days.

It's official. There will not be a transformative first 100 days for the Trump administration.

We talked about how it was growing increasingly unlikely, as the campaign promises Trump used to build a voter base gave way to reality.

But now, even Mike Johnson is openly stating they aren't going to be where they want to be during the first 100 days.

Why? Because as it turns out, obtaining one big beautiful bill is going to be

complicated. Who knew? Speaking of how hard it was going to be, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson

said there was, quote, a lot of moving pieces, a lot of things to negotiate, a lot of opinions on all that. So we will be

working long, long hours with white boards, making sure every Republican is on board. Because

remember, I will be dealing with the smallest margins in U.S. history for much of the first

100 days. But we're going to get it done.

But when Johnson was asked about a realistic timeline on the Big Beautiful Bill, he said, quote,

certainly by May, then said, quote, in a worst case scenario, Memorial Day.

That's May 26th.

100 days is April 29th.

Even those dates have raised skepticism.

In an attempt to keep the momentum going, he indicated the house would be pushing some small

bills to the floor early.

But he then described the bills as low-hanging fruit.

Separately, Senate Majority Leader soon also started trying to manage expectations and used the

bus analogy in a way, saying that he and Trump have the same set of objectives.

We want to get to the same destination.
