Well, howdy there, internet people it spell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Tommy Tuberville Trashing Team GOP.

Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama had a unique pitch while running for governor of Alabama.

It's basically that Republicans are ineffective and haven't accomplished much since Trump took office.

Reminder, Tuberville is a Republican.

Now, to be clear, while on a podcast, he phrased it a bit different

and avoided criticizing Trump directly. But he did

say, quote, everything that goes on up in here, Benny, is about, oh, we got to get reelected. We got to

keep the majority. He then went on to say, quote,

We ain't done anything in the majority.

Why would she, why would, should we keep majority?

He got a little tongue tied on that one.

Then he blasted the process of getting the only real piece of legislation they were able to push through,

the one big beautiful bill.

Quote, we've gotten one bill passed, and that was President Trump pushing and pushing and pushing,

and what took us 18 hours to get Republicans to vote for, 18 hours straight on the Senate floor. Okay. Well, what he's saying is accurate through one lens. I think he might be missing

a wider point. What if the reason it was so hard to get Republicans behind the one big beautiful bill is that they knew it didn't really help the people they were supposed to be representing?

In many ways, it didn't even align with the interests of their base.

Yes, yes, I know the idea of Tommy all hold up hundreds of military promotions for months on in Tuberville.

Complaining about things taking too long and nothing getting done is funny.

But he does have a very valid point.

The Republican Party hasn't delivered for their base, much less the country.
