So today, we're going to talk about the King of Denmark trolling Trump about Greenland.

Trump is still pushing his desire to relieve Denmark of Greenland.

His son is even traveling to Greenland on an unofficial visit.

The whole thing is now being fueled by a video

of a resident of Greenland asking to be part of the U.S. It's worth remembering you can easily

find videos of U.S. citizens asking to be part of Canada or asking the British to take us back.

So, how is Denmark responding?

To arms?

Well, to their coat of arms.

In a pretty surprising move, the Danish king altered the royal coat of arms.

For 500 years, so for longer than the U.S. has been a country,

the Danish royal coat of arms has featured three crowns, which symbolize the Kalmar Union between Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

That union dated to the late 1300s. The new coat of arms doesn't feature it. Instead, there is a more prominent display of a

polar bear and a ram. The polar bear is a symbol of Greenland and has been featured on the Danish

coat of arms since the 1600s. The ram is a symbol of the Faroe Islands. The message is clear. Denmark has no intention of giving

up Greenland. It's a signal to the world. In the King's New Year's address, he said, quote,

We are all united and each of us committed for the kingdom of Denmark. From the Danish minority in South Shelswig,

which is even situated outside the kingdom,

and all the way to Greenland, we belong together.
