Trump backed this candidate, endorsed him, campaigned for him,

and him winning is endorsed him, campaigned for him.

And him winning is widely seen as a clear indication

that Trump's endorsement still means something. A lesser-known fact is that Moreno was also

endorsed by the Democratic Party. I mean not not really, but they wanted him to win.

So much so that they spent millions raising his profile in front of likely primary voters for the Republican Party.
