Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Trump, a plan, and hope.

Recently, I talked about hope and how to keep going when you're surrounded by people who are giving up.

That video was prompted by a message from one of you. In that message, it was very clear

that it was from somebody who was already active and just needed a little pep talk because

the attitudes of those around them were dragging them down. That video prompted another message

from somebody looking for how to actually get active.

Here's the message.

I have seen a lot of videos of people preaching hope, and honestly, I'm getting fed up.

No one can show an actual path to success here.

So, it's not really hope.

It's just meaningless soothing, like an EMT telling a person with a fatal wound that they're going to be fine. What are we supposed to be hoping for anyway?

What I want is for the U.S. to not turn into a de facto dictatorship and for Trump's damage on all fronts to be undone,

as well as massive improvements in all the areas that Republicans have been fighting against for

decades now, like environmental protection, social safety nets, reduction of government corruption,

increase in business regulation, and richer countries

actually helping poorer countries. But realistically, how can any of that happen? In the time it

takes us to get enough political control to improve things, many crises like climate change will be

beyond repair. The path is simple enough.

It's just a hard path. But since we've referenced Murphy's Laws of Combat recently,

here's another. The easy path is always mined. The path is to start or join a local community network that is active.
