This week on The Mommy Labor Nurse Podcast we’re talking all about group B strep and how it might affect your birth.

Here we’re going to learn the details about this infection, how GBS disease can impact your baby, and how your provider will screen for GBS. Lastly, we’ll take a look at what it means for birth if you’re GBS positive.

If you do have group B strep, your birth will be a little bit different, because antibiotic treatment is highly recommended. But luckily, it’s not as big of a deal as it sounds.
