Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again.

So today we are going to talk about Maui and FEMA

and some things that have gone out and it's become a talking point and it's worth going

over because some of the information is less than accurate and it's something that I mean we've been through it here before

and the only reason I know this is because the first time I saw it I was just I

was also like you have got to be getting me, but that's not the reason it

happens. Okay, so if you have no idea what I'm talking about, a large number of employees for FEMA.

They apparently checked in to a hotel that is pretty luxurious and this has definitely rubbed people the

wrong way. Now the way it gets presented is hey this is you know our tax dollars this hotel

is a thousand dollars a night and FEMA people are staying there. Okay, so we

had this happen here as well. This is what happens. FEMA calls and basically they're like hey we want to rent a very

large block of a hotel we need X number of rooms so from the beginning they are only looking at really big places.

They tend to be luxury resorts.

FEMA does not pay full price. They pay about $350 rather than a thousand.

I want you to think about where you might find low-end hotels in the area.

We ran into the same problem here. They were staying at an incredibly nice resort.

But after a little bit of checking into it, what you find out is they're not paying that price

and they don't have time to use all of the amenities that go with it. This is being promoted right now by a lot of right wing a lot of

right wing talking heads who have got it into their mind that it should be they need to frame

this as Biden messing up so they are going to continue to find things to provoke

outrage with. If something sounds a little off, look into it a little bit because

they're going to continue doing this. They're staying at that hotel because it's a large one that can accommodate a whole lot of people.
