Well, howdy there, internet people, it's Bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Epstein, Trump, politics, and schedules.

Speaker of the House Johnson has decided to deviate from the rules when it comes to the petition.

That brought up a whole bunch of questions.

To answer them all at once, yes, he can do this.

Because he's trying to disregard them to move faster than the rules require.

He can't take longer, but he can move faster.

Just to be clear, Johnson didn't actually need the petition to be completed to bring this forward.

But now that the petition hit the required number of signatures, he has to act.

So, it seems like what he wants to do is push it through quickly, with as little internal turmoil as possible.

Inside the Republican Party in the House, there are really three factions.

Those who want the files released.

Those who will do whatever Trump says to do.

And those who would prefer this whole thing go away. But if push to vote, we'll vote to release.

And that might actually be the largest faction.

Our current vote count math puts the number of those who wouldn't sign the petition,

but would vote to release as around 100.

That's a whole lot of Republicans who knew what their constituents wanted, but who disregarded it.

Because, well, let's be real, their voters don't matter.

They held snap from them.

They're making health insurance unaffordable.

And they're flatly disregarding their wishes. But they know many Americans put brand loyalty over their own interests.
