So today, we're going to talk about drones, claims, realities, and likelihoods.

Okay, so we've had tons of requests to talk about this.

There was a flood of wild claims early on, and it took some time to sort through it all.

But we'll give you the best information we currently have.

If you have no idea what this is about, there are a bunch of reports of drones in the Northeast,

and it's spreading.

It's caused a lot of apprehension as the reports came out and most of the

media was not helpful. They gave air to a bunch of theories that just don't pass a cursory

examination. Even some government officials are getting in on the act. An advanced drone detection

system has been deployed. Let's clear up some of

the wilder claims first. They aren't Iranian drones from a drone carrier off the coast. There's no

drone carrier there. They aren't part of some bizarre plan to fake an alien invasion.

There's a new one that says the drones are good, but looking for something bad on the ground,

with the possibility of a radiological being floated.

My issue with this is, why aren't they looking for whatever this bad substance is during the day? If it's an emergent

situation requiring a mass deployment of sniffer drones, it would be running 24 hours a day. A loose

radiological is kind of an all-hands-on-deck moment. In fact, out of all of the wild claims, there's only one we can't

shoot down. Maybe that isn't the best terminology here. Anyway, but we'll get to that one later.

Let's go through what we know. There's a bunch of reports of drones, some as big as a car.

Most are cases of misidentification. So what's going on and why are there so many reports?

When the media talks about something, people notice similar things because they now have a frame of reference for it.
