Well, howdy there, Internet people? It's Bell again. So today, we're going to talk about

community and evolution. There's still a lot of ambiguity out there about what the next few

years are going to bring when it comes to specifics. What they try, what they don't, what gets

stopped, and what goes through is still all up in the air.

But we know the general idea is to step back from regulations, social safety nets, education, and many things that Americans have become accustomed to.

What we do know when we look at the big picture

is that the Republican Party seems intent

on trying to usher in a new era

steeped in the myth of the rugged individualist.

One of my favorite quotes, which is probably not Darwin,

even though that's who it gets attributed to, is,

it is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives.

It is the one that is most adaptable to change.

Even though it probably isn't a Darwin quote, it's a decent summary of his work about biology.

Here's another little biology fact for you.

Social animals live longer.

They have longer lifespans.

It's not the strongest or most intelligent.

It's the most adaptable and most cooperative.

An experiment with government based on rugged individualism, no matter how limited, is going to get

bumpy.

It's going to get rough.
