Well, howdy there internet people, let's bow again. So today we are going to talk about some

legislation that was just signed by the governor in Colorado and farmers and tractors and an issue that not a lot of people know about but

it has almost certainly impacted your wallet at some point.

So what's going on?

Farms today, they are dependent on machinery,

on heavy machinery. Some of this machinery is incredibly complex. Some of it

seems to be intentionally complex to the point where the farmer can't fix it themselves.

And many would say that there was a concerted effort by manufacturers to keep it hard to fix.

As manufacturers, they want to provide that service.

You know, they want to fix it. There were situations where parts were unavailable, tools were unavailable.

Tools were unavailable. Software, in some cases, literally impossible to get.

Now all of this sounds annoying, right?

But here's the thing.

If you have to go through some approved provider to fix your equipment and your equipment goes

down during harvest time and that provider can't get there for a week, two weeks, three weeks in some cases.

That harvest is in trouble.

Farmer loses money and you pay a whole lot more. This legislation aims to fix that. Tools, parts,

manuals, software, according to the legislation must be provided. This was primarily

pushed through by the Democratic Party. It did have some Republican support and I don't want to make this seem like

a partisan issue because there really was Republican support. Some Republican

support on this. A lot were opposed to it because they were kind of

of stuck between their rural constituents, you know the people they're supposed to represent,
