Well, howdy there internet people, it's Bell again. So today we're going to talk about

Colorado, 2020, and an update on a long-running story. When history books record the events

in 2020, they're going to need quite a few pages

or they're going to leave some stuff out.

A lot was going on.

One critical series of events that will certainly make the final draft is the aftermath of the election.

Right after and really even before the election, a series of baseless rumors started floating around. The claims, still unproven years later, formed

the basis for years of political discussion and events. One central to the spider web of claims was that something somehow was wrong and that it had cost Trump the election.

It wasn't that he was an incredibly unpopular and divisive president. it was they, them, those, the powers we can't see,

somehow, some way, did something to make Trump lose.

Again, years have gone by and there's still nothing to the claims.

Those claims led people all over the country to allegedly commit criminal offenses.

The first local official charged with a security breach connected to those claims is Tina Peters, a former Colorado clerk.

This week, Peter was convicted on seven charges,

four of them felonies.

This is probably not the end to the saga, though,

because after her convictions, she said, I will continue to fight until the truth is

revealed.

Based on that, it seems like appeals are likely.

The Colorado Attorney General said of the verdict, today's verdict is a warning to others that they will face serious consequences if they attempt to illegally tamper with our voting processes or election system.

I want to be clear, our elections are safe and fair.
