Let me tell you something, Pac Nation, John Fricela put us at 27th, 27th out of 32 teams in the National Football League.

Our offensive line, the unit whose entire job description is keeping Jordan Love vertical on a football field.

27th.

I saw that ranking.

I sat down and I did not move for four solid minutes.

I was turning it around in my head from every angle I could think of trying to

find the direction where that number looked better. Pack Nation, I could not find it. Now, my first

instinct is to be angry at this man. Call John Fasela a knucklehead, fold that ranking into a paper

hairplane, and throw it somewhere. I never have to look at it again.

But here's the problem. Here is the problem. I picked that thing up, I examined it, I poked at it from

every direction, and I could not find a lie. And that is what is making me insane right now.

Not that somebody said it, that I cannot argue with it.

Every piece of evidence I have is just nodding along going, yeah, Sal, 27 sounds about right.

My own fandom is losing the debate with the facts. That is a bad place to be.

Because we are sitting here in 2026, supposed to be the hopeful time,

the planning time, the time when you look at this roster and you believe. And the truth is staring

us down like a bill we forgot to open for six months. This offensive line is a question mark

wrapped inside a bigger question mark.

And the worst part, the part that keeps me up, we have committed to these guys.

We have structured contracts around this position group.

We have operated like the problem is solved, like the line is built, like we just show up and play football now, and then a ranking

drops and the whole room goes quiet. You know what this offensive line reminds me of?
