We pray that you'll be blessed as Andrew teaches insights from the life of

Elijah and now here's Andrew. Look in verse 2 in 1st King 172 and the word of

the Lord came unto him saying and it will go on to talk about how that he sent him to the brook cheereth

that he was going to provide for them food and bread for him and water and he would protect him.

But here is another great lesson.

Boy, this one has ministered to me.

I have seen this just set people free.

That God won't give you step number two until you have

taken step number one. Now what I mean by that is God told Elijah you go speak to Ahab and you prophesy that there's going to be a

drought and by doing that he put himself in the crosshairs. Ahab was killing all of the

prophets of God and he put himself in harm's way and there wasn't.

God hadn't already told him, all right, I'm going to, after you give this word to Ahab, then go to the brook cheerith and I'm going to command the

ravens to feed you there. No he didn't tell him that. He didn't promise his

protection. He didn't know how things were going to work out until he had already delivered the first word that God gave him.

You don't get step number two or step number ten until you act on step number one.

Boy, this is profound.

The word of God comes in steps and in stages.

It says in Romans chapter 12, verse 2 2 don't be conformed to this world but be transformed

by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and

perfect will of God.
