Diana Walsh Pasulka, a professor of religious studies, is the author of the groundbreaking book, American Cosmic: UFOs, Religion, Technology, which follows several high tech entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley who are deeply entrenched in the UFO topic and are spending a lot of time and money investigating the Phenomenon. The book also shows how the topic is gradually becoming a new age religion as more and more people start to believe in an extraterrestrial presence both in our skies and possibly even here on our planet. 1:24.7	about. Sure so I'm a professor of Religious Studies at the University of
1:29.5	North Carolina in Wilmington and I wrote American Cosmic Religion, UFOs, and Technology and
1:38.0	it's a it's kind of a crazy journey through Silicon Valley's entrepreneurs or technopreneurs really and how they
1:48.2	believe in UFOs and even have believed that they have UFO parts and back engineer them and things like that
1:55.9	but it's also about technology and it's an impact on us and the creation of religions and things like that
2:02.1	and it is also a huge contributor in the last few years, I would say, to the overall
2:08.2	UFO conversation and bringing it to the mainstream.
2:11.6	And I don't think anyone really knows that better than Leslie you've done so much amazing work in and out of the
2:16.7	UFO research world but if you wouldn't mind could you maybe tell us a little about your book
