Back in 2013, Leslie Hall told her husband Joel that she wanted to start an online boutique. He laughed. But Joel knew Leslie's entrepreneurial spirit and he agreed. With Joel working as a firefighter and having 3 young kids at home, their family had always lived paycheck to paycheck. So Leslie was over the moon when she sold over $5,000 in clothes her first month from a 10x10 office space in their house. And in that moment, Zig Zag Stripe was born.

 

Today, Joel and Leslie share their story of running their popular (and multi-million dollar) clothing boutique and passion for giving back. Together, they reveal how they've been able to build a strong, loyal community of customers and explain their difficult decision to focus solely on e-commerce.
