Hello, this is Les Brown.

I want to have a conversation with you.

I was at Cancer Centers of America,

and my daughter, owner, was there with me.

And Dr. Taha, the top oncologist, looked at me and said, Mr. Brown.

Yeah, fourth stage cancer, are you aware?

I say yes.

And I remember my daughter who was seated to my right, her eyes filled with tears.

And she was there to give me support to be strong for me.

And people asked me constantly, how can you motivate and inspire people when death is constantly breathing down your neck and you're dealing with pain?

How do you do it?

I want to talk to you about that because we're living in a time where we have never been before.

Businesses are closing.

People are losing their jobs.

Don't have a clue on how they're going to pay the bills that are stacking up.

And at the same time, told that we're in a lockdown,

you can't come out of the house? How do you keep it together in the midst of that kind of stone?

And I want to share this with you.

You don't know enough about yourself to be a cynic. You are stronger than you realize.

I'm reminded of the play Lion King, and there's a line in there,
