texts and traditions of the Western canon can speak into our moment and help us deal

with and understand the urgencies of the present day, but ultimately this is a show

about the life of the mind and a route for you into the more spacious and expansive world of Western civilization, Western history

with all the serenity that can afford, one of the true benefits of knowing and understanding some of the deeper

Principles in history that have brought us to this place is not always having to live in the

eternal present and especially on Fridays when I really like to

nerd out with you guys I want to keep it pure keep it grade A straight pure

classics scholarship dorkery, all that stuff.

And in particular, I typically like to talk on Fridays about translation.
