We have a lot going on this week. A lot of authoritarianism. And it couldn't have happened at a worst time if you consider what's happening in the streets and what's happening in the schools and in churches with kids being killed. And yeah.

And then I wondered, we wondered on our show earlier whether the MAGA was a death cult because not only that, you have the issues with the CDC, what RFK Jr. is doing, the firing of people, people resigning over at the CDC.

Yep.

Where do you want to start?

I mean, we can start with the CDC just because it's, it just, it was like a, it was like a, you know, massacre.

It was like a Nixon era purge. It was ongoing, right?

We had Susan Monterez, who is a CDC director, who essentially

at first, HHS just tweeted that she was no longer the director. And then there was that post

from a lawyer that said, no, she'd actually not been officially fired. And she was going to refuse

to resign. Then the White House says, nope, she's out. And it's very clear. RFK is trying to inflict

his conspiratorial vision on the CDC. And then there's an expert revolt that's ongoing.

There was three other resignations. I think there might even be more since last time I checked.

And I think it's in response to that new vaccine guidance that we saw where they're saying under 65, you need a preexisting condition.

There's also this incoming autism study.

I just, I'm worried, man.

I think we're going to see a CDC that is more reflective of RFK in the coming weeks and months.

What are you thinking?

Yeah, well, I mean, it's kind of like the Bureau of Labor Statistics. If they don't like it, they may fire people or they say that the information that this agency is giving is not factual. And that's, that has been the sort of, you could call it the hallmark of the Trump administration the first time and this time

is to attack institutions.

And so if you can attack institutions and you can undermine public trust in institutions

and in government, then you can create your own reality.

And so then what's real, and we have difficulty as we do now,
