This is breaking news.

Yeah, we broke it today.

It's kind of, I guess, surprising but unsurprising news to a lot of his fans. I mean, the guy has been doing radio since, essentially, since the late 70s, but really became popular in the mid-80s. He is 71 years old. This is his fourth five-year contract with Sirius. He's always done five-year contracts over the course of his

serious career. And it is set to expire this fall. And as you know, as we all know in media

these days, people are not getting the big bucks that they once were for whatever reason,

for a plethora of different reasons, from dwindling audiences

to other reasons. Let's just put it that way for now. And he has been commanding $100 million

a year, like a year. That's how much his contract has been over the last five years.

It has started at around 80 million a year and it's gone up to 100.

And so it's really hard to fathom to continue to pay somebody like that in this climate,

in this media climate. And that's kind of what my sources have told me is that Sirius is ready to make him an offer,

but it's essentially going to be an offer that he can refuse.

You know, it's going to be one of these, like, low ball offers that they're absolutely expecting

him not to take.
