Welcome to Unleash the Political News Hour. I'm your host, Nate Kane. And today we get into a number of

stories in this first segment that I want to touch on. Obviously, the probably biggest development

or biggest story that has been all over the news the last couple of days has been about the third

attempted assassination on President Trump, this time by a radical leftist who,

31-year-old man, Cole Thomas Allen, who is from California.

He was arrested after breaching security and firing shots that struck a Secret Service

agent who was thankfully protected by body armor. He also attempted to target President Trump

and senior administration officials. You know, federal prosecutors have charged Allen with attempted assassination of the president,

along with firearms-related felonies.

The White House has attributed the incident to a broader pattern of inflammatory rhetoric

from political opponents and media figures.

Conservatives, of course, you know, we've emphasized the need for heightened presidential

security protocols. And, you know, the consequences really of unchecked political incitement and the historic nature of this being the third reported attempt on President Trump's life, I think, really put this in perspective.

Look, folks, this guy was a teacher in California.

And so you've got to wonder, who else has he infected with this venom? And, you know, teachers obviously, you know, it's interesting. There

was a story that I saw of, I think this was, let me see if I can find it here, but it was a report that was done where they had looked at, it was a poll that was done amongst people who sought, asking the question of whether political violence, you know, is acceptable.

And lo and behold, the more highly educated somebody was, the higher likelihood was that they found

political violence acceptable.
