Believe it or not, the game actually began tight, with the Lakers actually down a point after the first quarter, thanks to the stellar play of role player Herb Jones and a barrage of Pelicans offense rebounds converted into second chance points. But once LeBron took over the second quarter as a one-man gang of and-ones, transition plays and three-pointers practically launched from Reno. For that matter, the entire team caught fire from outside, with five Lakers hitting at least one triple. That, combined with some intensified defense, helped bust the game wide open. But again, the night was ultimately secured by LeBron's efforts. He kept the momentum going after halftime, clearly determined to prevent New Orleans from gaining any life or hope. None was had, and the game was in cruise control by the time the fourth quarter rolled around. Finals, baby!!!
