Meanwhile, Luka Dončić is also getting close to that threshold, now having missed 11 games with Thursday's game against the Mavs in question. What happens if he's close to that baseline and might need a night off? Would the Lakers ask him to sit? Would he pull himself out of contention for MVP and 1st Team All-NBA? These are the sorts of questions getting more common around the league, and why ti seems very likely the NBA will make changes in the eligibility for these awards.
