Friends, welcome back to another Good News Friday episode. I'm your host, Rachel Grohl.

If you're just joining me today and this is your first time listening to the podcast, welcome. I'm so glad you're here. And I just want to give you a heads up that this is not a typical podcast episode. In fact, Monday through Friday, we do our daily affirmations and our Bible study podcast. But then on Fridays, I tend to pop on and just share what God's been doing in my heart, some testimonies, things to kind of encourage

you as you head into the weekend. Nothing to really think about, but just to listen and thank God

for. And so I apologize we're a little bit late to the game today. I actually recorded this morning

and found out after the fact that my microphone did not record. I think it was on mute. And sometimes

that's what happens. And it's this reality of how things go. So I'm re-recording. And hopefully I can

remember all the things I talked about this morning. But if you're just joining me, I would

ask you to go back and listen to the episode right before this so you can get a taste of the

typical content that we

share. And then on Saturdays and Sundays, we started doing a new thing. We started doing our

daily affirmations those days. And on Saturdays, we're doing some contemplative prayers to help you

get in the presence of the Lord. On Sundays, we're doing some free previews of my new devotional

that just came out.

And so those are not necessarily attached to the Monday through Friday Bible study.

So if you don't listen to those, you're not going to be behind.

But for those of you that were wanting something for the weekends, it's there for you as an

additional resource.

And then if you are somebody that really would prefer not to have ads,

And I also want to mention, as far as resources go, two things that you may not know about. The first is I have a kid show. If you're new around here, you may not know that I have a kid show. It's called the Hearing Jesus for Kids show. It's not active right now. It's actually a seasonal show. The adult show goes all year long. The kids show launches in the fall and usually runs to about Christmas. And we've done three of the Gospels so far. We're going to be doing Luke in the fall. And it is just a really good way to help your kids understand what you're learning on the adult podcast. The reason why I don't do that the rest of the year is sometimes there's just things that I need to talk to you guys about. For example, when we do our love sex in the Bible series, I don't want to talk to your kids about sex. I shouldn't be talking to your kids about sex. You should be talking to your kids about sex. However, you and I need to talk about sex.
