I was first introduced to Laura Dern years ago because she was a great friend of my wife Mary Steenburg.

We have become very close friends.

I have so much respect for her, for her family, for her kids. I could go on and on.

The only thing I think she perhaps has a problem with and that's acknowledgement but you'll see that as it turns out

she's really great at deflecting.

Aside from being an Oscar and Emmy-winning actor she's also an author. Her latest book is called Honey Baby Mine

and it's an extraordinary conversation between her and her mother, the beautiful

legendary actor Diane Ladd. You really need to read this book. It is sweet,

funny, poignant and just really lovely. Anyway, we'll get into that and much more. I can't wait for you to
