I got to come off of that for a second here.

It's an honor to be here this morning.

I've been looking forward to this for a long time.

My name is Granger.

I live about three hours south of here, just outside of

Austin, around Georgetown, Texas, with my wife, Amber. We have four kids. We have London, who's

just about to turn 13. Lincoln is 10. River, we lost when he was three, and then we have our caboose

Maverick, who is three. We are members at Emmaus Church in Georgetown, Texas. These days,

most of my life, social life just revolves around what I just said.

I want to tell you a story about Horatio G. Spatford.

He was a 43-year-old businessman in Chicago, and he lost his son to Scarlet Fever in 1870. And while he and his wife, Anna,

were grieving this terrible loss, tragedy struck again. And he suffered financial disaster

in the great Chicago fire. He lost almost all of his investments.

So with all of this heavy burden, he realized him and the family needed to get away for a bit

to heal.

So knowing that his friend, Dwight Elmoudy, was going to be preaching in England that fall,

Spathford decided to take the entire family overseas.

His wife and four daughters went ahead of him on the SS Ville de Havre, and then he planned

to follow in a few days after he took care of some last-minute business preparations.
