What's up, guys, Josh Paid here. It's not Lake Kick Extra. It's not Lake Kick Live.

0:18.2

It is the first ever, but soon to be duplicated.

Late Kick Show Owners Association. It is your show. It's not my show. I always say that. To prove it to you, though, we're just doing a product right now that we're going to let you take over. We got a bunch of people in here who won the lottery. They submitted their emails after we got past 13,000 followers, rather, on Twitter at LakeKick Josh, by the way. We appreciate that.

And so we're going to have some fun here. I'm not going to waste time. It's going to be Q&A. It's going to be conversational. And we'll see where this goes. So first up, producer Jordan has teed up Josh Miller, who I just found out lives in Colorado. And so Josh Miller, what are we talking about to lead it off? Yeah. Well, you know, a lot of the big talk has been around transfers, and we've seen multiple college colleges pull in, you know, directors of transfer recruiting.

1:11.1

So with spring attrition happening every single year and new teams looking to find new ways to get higher tier guys.

1:20.1

Do you think that places like Oklahoma or Missou or even Kentucky would look to use this as kind of a third signing day, so to speak, heading into their seasons to try to make up for

1:27.2

some of the loss that they

1:28.1

can't, you know, because they cannot recruit Alabama, you know, and the blue blood.

1:32.3

So how do you think that schools like that are going to use transfer portal?

1:36.8

I think a lot of them right now, even up to and including the Oklahoma's, as evidenced by

1:42.1

this last off season, like everyone, everyone initially when they heard

1:44.9

the idea of transfer portal. Like everyone said, we're going to own this thing. Everyone thinks they're going to own the transfer portal right now. Just like I guarantee you, everyone thinks they're going to own name, image, and likeness. And then you're going to find out in some programs, wheelhouses. It's not in others. But like the thing about it is you mentioned probably intentionally, like the Missouries of the world. To me, that's who has to own it, man. Like that's, we're not talking

2:04.3

about them. I was sitting behind myself at this desk right here on signing day. And I remember Steve Wolfong and I talking about Oklahoma, talking about Bama. I don't think we mentioned Missouri a whole lot. Like I don't think we mentioned Virginia Tech a whole lot, just to pull some, some names out of the hat. Who do you pull for, by the way? I'm traditionally an Auburn fan. I kind of leaning more towards just a

2:24.6

fan of sports these days. So I don't want a pigeonhole myself. What does that mean? What do you

2:29.3

mean? Like in 2010, did you also hold the opinion that you were kind of Auburn, but you were largely

2:34.2

just a fan of sports? What changed? Uh, you know, being from Auburn, like that's, that's home.

2:40.9

So I, by default, I'm an Auburn fan. So, but I mean, I guess as I've gotten older, I've just,

2:45.8

I started learning to like football as a whole. So even teams that I traditionally shouldn't

2:50.5

pull for, like, you know, the Alabama's and the Ohio States, I just find myself watching their games the same way, but same enthusiasm that I watch Auburn. So I kind of declassify myself as just like an Auburn fan and kind of shift over to just, I was just like good football. No, I got you.

3:07.7

I got you.

3:08.2

Well, so Auburn, like to wrap this one up, like Auburn, you know, like right now, one of the big talks, we were talking about it this morning in our meeting. One of the big talks right now is new coaching staffs, like they thought this stuff was going to loosen up. They thought they'd be able to be out on the road already and they're not. And so, like, Auburn's a perfect example of a program right now that they're having to rely on word of mouth from these Nike and Under Armour combines, really, because they can't get in front of kids. Now it's, it's an asinine rule at this point, but it's the rule regardless. And so like right now, Brian Harson, here's something to watch. So talking about transfer portal in like second or third tier schools. How about after spring? I expect another wave of transferred after the spring. So after spring, it could very well be that Auburn's looking around going, oh, like there's some quality linebackers. Oh, there's a quality interior offensive linemen in the portal. We didn't necessarily think this was going to fall in our lap. But, you know, like Lincoln Riley didn't think those players in Tennessee were going to fall in his lap either.
