Oh, it's Friday. It's Friday. And I am looking outside at over 12 to 14 inches of snow. It is crazy. The weather. How is the weather for you? I don't know if it's been as wild and sporadic as it has been here. But enjoying a cozy at home day where I don't have to put any makeup on all the prizes and just making me feel really,

really grateful for podcasting today as my method of growth. I love it. Friends, this has been the

tried and true method for me for over six years. October was six years of podcasting. And let me just

share with you. I have done every single

method that you can possibly imagine when it comes to testing, growing, and scaling, an online

business. Was an MLM? Not it. Used Facebook groups and one-on-one DMing, absolutely not it.

Tried to use Instagram for a few years. Definitely not it.

All of those things were taking hours on hours, on days, on weeks of energy and time for the

tiniest result that you could possibly imagine. I would make a sale here or there. I'm talking

one or two a month. And not only that, but I wasn't sure

what I was selling. I continued to create stuff based on what I saw other people doing.

And so often it just didn't land. And I look back now that I have 2020 vision. And I recognize

and realize that I made so many mistakes when it came to growing my

business the right way because you don't know. You have no idea what you don't know when you've

never done it. So all the things I did wrong, one, I leapt into the online space without any

clear vision of what I wanted to create and the solution I was going to solve. I ran in without

any vision of what a professional brand looked like, what it meant to create helpful content.

I didn't know that Longform was the thing that was going to be sticky and was going to secure

me leads on leads on leads and listeners on listeners

year after year. And I basically just wasted a bunch of time creating random short form content

that led to offers that weren't landing with my person. Lots of wasted time. Lots of wasted energy

and money. And also, P.S., I did it all myself without ever investing
