Malaysia occurs where the supraglotic larynx, the part of the larynx above the vocal cords,

Let's talk about the structural changes.

There are two ary epiglotic folds at the entrance of the larynx in the neck.

The ary-epiglotic folds run between the epiglottis and the aritenoid cartilages on either side of the airway.

Their role is to prevent food or fluids from entering the larynx

and the trachea. In laryngo Malaysia, the ariapaglotic folds are shortened, which pulls

on the epiglottis and changes the shape of the epiglottis to a characteristic omega shape.

In laryngomalacia, the tissue surrounding the superglotic larynx is softer and has less tone,
