Hello, I'm Gary Stearman, and this is Prophecy Watchers. And today we have once again a marvelous, marvelous guest.

His name's Dr. Larry Ollison, and he is a pastor, he is a teacher, and he has written a book about heaven. My favorite subject, and Larry, welcome back.

It's good to be here at Prophecy Watchers. It's great to talk about heaven. We have done this discussion before, but we didn't have nearly enough time to complete it. Today maybe we can do that. And I love to talk about heaven

because it raises so many questions and not bad questions, good questions. You always feel

better after you talk about heaven, right? Well, heaven's a good place. You know, I remember

watching an episode of Mayberry and Barney 5 fell asleep during the sermon.

And when the sermon was over, the pastor was out at the front door greeting everyone.

And he looked at Barney and he said, Barney, how did you like the service today?

And Barney says, Pastor, you just can't say enough about sin. You know,

it seems like that's what the world thinks, that you go to church and all you hear about

is what you shouldn't do. In other words, the negative picture. It's a negative picture.

And they think about heaven as a good place and hell as an evil place. And they hear

about the weeping and gnashing of teeth in hell. But some people think heaven's quite

boring. The only reason they want to go to heaven is because they don't want to go to hell.

And they think that when they go to heaven, they're going to have like a little depends on

and they're going to have a bow or they're going to have a harp.

And that's all they're going to do for all eternity.

It'd be a little cherub firing arrows.

Oh, my. Well, but that's not heaven.

Somehow I escaped that vision.

And that's not the picture of the Bible gives either.

When Larry writes about heaven, it's really from a twofold picture of what people don't
