There's been a lot in the news lately about the NBA salary cap and ratings and what the

0:06.5

next TV deal is going to be like.

0:09.9

So I wanted to bring in Larry Kuhn, briefly, to talk about some of that stuff.

0:14.1

Larry, of course, has been a great mentor to me.

0:16.5

It really helped me in terms of my knowledge of the salary cap, both through his excellent

0:20.1

CBA FAQ website and also being nice enough to be available whenever I had a bunch of stupid

0:26.2

questions as well. And also, he and I have worked together for a long time now on Sports

0:31.6

Business Classroom. So there's going to talk a little bit more about that at the end of

0:35.5

this segment. But critically, how are you?

0:38.1

I'm doing great. It's like you know, it's we're ramping up for Sports Business Classroom and

0:43.6

this we're about three weeks out from it. So there's not much time to get registered. But

0:48.1

also for me, there's not much ramp up time in putting the program together. And you know from

0:52.8

first-hand experience, how much work it is to put this program together every year. So I'm at

0:59.0

the point where it's you know, 20 hour days basically, but it's it's great. It's fine. It's going

1:03.5

to be a great program this year. I'm hanging in there. Yeah. Well, Larry, I guess I have this

1:08.4

propensity for having guests on who don't really sleep because he and Danny both like get three

1:14.2

times the amount of work done of a normal person like me who actually requires eight hours of sleep

1:19.1

per night. So I think where we should start in this conversation is just talking about what we've

1:23.4

been through here for the league's finances the last couple of years with the interruption in

1:28.8

play due to COVID and the bubble and then not having fans this year. So why don't we just rewind

1:34.4

and talk about what the players and the leagues agreement ended up being with respect to how they

1:42.0

are going to deal with the revenue loss of COVID and how that would affect the salary cap and tax
