Despite that, the 1776 Commission has now met in Washington, D.C. at the Hillsdale

College, Washington, D.C. campus. After the meeting, Dr. Matthew Spalding, the executive

director of the 1776 commission, Dr. Carol Swain, the vice chair of the commission, and

Dr. Arne, the chairman of the commission, met to recap that meeting and to update America,
