Welcome to the show. When this year started,

did you think you would be talking to me about how New York is close to electing a socialist

as their next mayor? I've got to be honest, I did not have it on my bingo card, Scott. So what's your

take on all of this? Thanks so much for having me. I certainly didn't expect that others didn't. But frankly, given the political weaponization that New York had against President Trump, should we be surprised by anything anymore? Yeah. I think New Yorkers, though, are going to be stunned in November to find if he wins the mayor race, what's going to happen? There's going to be a mass exodus of businesses out there. In fact,

I had a call this morning with someone who was speaking with 20 different hedge fund owners who are

preparing to leave if that happens. And we're trying to attract them and others to Boca Raton. We want the job

creators and the businesses here to add to our robust ecosystem. Yeah. Well, listen, I think whenever you have like the top 1% of earners in New York,

creating something like 48% of the tax revenue there in New York City,

those people leave, Scott, they are going to be in for a world of hurt.

They are talking about leaving, though,

and I'm sure you, as you said, would like to see them come down here to the Sunshine State.

Look, my family has all moved down here to Florida. It is a beautiful place to live.

We are a pro-growth environment. We're a pro-business environment. We're a pro-capitalism down here in Florida.

I'm sure as the mayor of Boca Raton, you probably feel that you'd like them to come down to your area.

Absolutely. And Boca Raton is the best place to do business, not just in Palm Beach County, the president's home county, but frankly in the entire state of Florida, and I'd say the entire United States. We have more than 40 publicly traded corporate headquarters

here, 14,000 businesses in our city of 100,000 people. We are the economic engine of Palm Beach

County, but beyond that, we have the lowest property tax rate of any full-service city in Florida,
