Hey there. Welcome to Football with Grant Wall. Thanks so much for joining me. We've got

a special episode today in partnership with Metal Arc and Levitard and friends with

0:17.1

reaction from Landon Donovan, Chris Wittingham and me to the US men's national teams one

0:23.5

they lost to Panama in World Cup qualifying game five. Landon is in San Diego where he

0:30.2

coaches San Diego loyal. Chris is in South Florida and I am in Panama City, Panama where

0:46.9

Reeling a bit after last night's defeat at the hands of Panama, looking like every game

1:31.3

US in nine tries and World Cup qualifying. And October 10th, you know, it's really a kind

1:39.3

of a cursed date at this point for the US men's national team. October 10th four years ago

1:44.8

was the day the US lost in Trinidad failed to qualify for the World Cup. October 10th

1:49.8

this year, maybe the worst day since for the US men's national team, and we can put it

1:55.4

in perspective, right? The US hasn't failed to qualify for a World Cup, but it is the first

1:59.8

US lost in the five games they've had so far in this cycle of World Cup qualifying. Landon,

2:07.0

you say as expected to you, and I'm wondering in what way was this expected to you?
